Mongolia Sector Specific Investment Strategy ...
This report is part of a series of six country pilot studies, carried out by UNCTAD in collaboration with other agencies of the inter-agency working group (IAWG) as phase two of the programme of work on “Indicators for measuring and maximizing economic value added and job creation from private investment in specific value chains.”
The objectives of this report are: 1. To provide value-added recommendations to policymakers in Mongolia on attracting and benefiting from private investment in the travel and tourism sector. These recommendations must be seen against the backdrop of recommendations on the overall policy framework for investment in the country.
- To help refine the indicator methodology developed by the IAWG for the G20 and to provide guidance for the meaningful use of development impact indicators in the formulation of policy recommendations in the area of investment.
